Working with Seaside Sauna Haus, a wood-fired beach sauna on Dorset’s beautiful coastline, we focused on revitalising their digital presence to capture the essence of their seaside experience. Our project included updating the website to portray a cohesive and inviting brand identity, along with streamlining the booking system to make it more user-friendly. To support their continued growth, we developed a strategic social media plan and continue to produce two high-quality posts each month, enhancing the consistency of their posting and highlighting the distinct charm of their beach-side offering.

The Website
To revitalise Seaside Sauna Haus's online presence, we undertook an extensive overhaul of their existing Wix website, maintaining the client's familiarity with the platform while elevating its functionality and design. The project's main challenges included organising a disjointed backend, simplifying an overly complex booking system, and incorporating essential information that was previously hard to find. We redesigned the homepage to prominently feature key details such as location, sauna options, and what to expect, making the experience seamless and inviting for users. A cohesive brand identity was achieved by using consistent fonts and colours throughout, and we replaced the previous custom body font with a more accessible option for the client’s marketing needs.
Our efforts also included a thorough SEO update, ensuring each page was optimised with targeted descriptions. We improved the visual appeal by updating images, adding high-quality photos from our own shoot, and introducing custom icons for the ‘what to bring’ section to balance text and engage visitors. Additionally, we created a simplified secondary logo for use on the menu bar. These enhancements collectively transformed the site into a user-friendly, branded, and easily navigable platform that reflects the unique experience Seaside Sauna Haus offers.

To elevate Seaside Sauna Haus’s presence on social media, we developed a comprehensive strategy that highlights their unique, off-grid beach sauna experience and engages their target audience. Our approach focused on crafting high-quality, visually engaging content that aligns with the brand’s warm, down-to-earth tone and celebrates its connection to nature. Key elements of the strategy included a balanced posting schedule of images and reels that showcase the serene beauty of Seatown Beach, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and customer stories that emphasise community and shared experiences. We also incorporated curated seasonal photo and video shoots to capture the essence of sauna bathing throughout the year, creating a rich visual narrative that keeps followers connected. By optimising engagement practices, such as reshares and story features, we aimed to maintain an active and inviting social media presence that fosters growth and brand loyalty.
Content
To authentically capture the seasonal beauty of Seaside Sauna Haus, we conduct four annual photoshoots that showcase the sauna and its natural surroundings throughout the year. These photoshoots are an opportunity to involve regular customers and build a collection of high-quality, people-focused images that elevate the overall visual standard of the sauna’s social media feed, surpassing the spontaneity of on-the-fly content. In addition, we make monthly visits to the beach to create seasonally relevant content that highlights key elements of the sauna experience, such as full-moon rituals, sea swimming, and the serene ambience. During these monthly trips, we capture photos and videos to use over the coming weeks, while any extra content goes into a dedicated content bank. This stock of visual assets not only supports our curated posts but also enables Sarah to create her own engaging content throughout the month, ensuring a consistent and vibrant social media presence.
