In collaborating with fine artist, Liz Coxford, we embarked on this project to craft a brand and digital presence that mirrors the meticulous elegance of her pencil pigment work. Liz's art, characterised by its stunning attention to light and depth within architectural and landscape compositions, deserved a platform that not only showcases her talent, but also positions her as a distinguished artist. The resulting website is a reflection of Liz's refined artistry, offering a clean and sophisticated experience that allows her work to shine, while subtly communicating her upscale brand.

The Brand
Our Project with Liz began with a deep dive into her artwork, where we drew inspiration directly from the subtle, muted tones of her pencil pigment compositions. Starting from scratch, we crafted a colour palette that resonated with the essence of her art, balancing hues reflective of the sea, land, and architectural elements that featured in her collections. This palette became the foundation for a brand identity that is both refined and understated. We paired it with classic elegant typography, ensuring ample white space to let her art breathe. The logo design is distinguished by a bold yet minimalistic font, adding a touch of character, without overpowering her delicate work.
The Website
The design began with a clear focus on structure and user experience. We started with a website plan, carefully mapping out the different pages and how they would interact, ensuring that Liz's work would be the centerpiece of the site. We used Squarespace as a web platform, for its user-friendly nature, as this best matched Liz’s skillset. The design style was intentionally minimalist and elegant, allowing her art to take the spotlight and the layout was crafted to be both visually appealing and functional, making it easy for visitors to navigate and explore her work.
Key features of the website included a dedicated collections page, where each of Liz's collections was made accessible through clickable links. This allowed users to view individual pieces, along with information about each work. Additionally an ‘About’ page was created to introduce visitors to Liz as an artist, highlighting her exhibitions, awards, and artistic style. The contact page includes a form for enquiries, an option to sign up for her newsletter, and a link to her Instagram posts. Throughout the website, SEO was carefully implemented to enhance visibility.
Socials
Developing a comprehensive social media strategy aimed at building her brand on Instagram, the strategy focused on creating high-quality, thoughtful content that reflects her artistic journey and emphasises her connection to nature and the arts. Key elements included optimising her profile for clarity and consistency, enhancing engagement through a curated visual aesthetic, and promoting exhibitions and collaborations. By incorporating behind-the-scenes content, studio processes, and images of her work in natural settings, we aimed to engage her audience while maintaining the high-end, subtle tone that reflects her brand identity. Working on this social strategy together has given Liz the confidence to now manage and curate her own social media platform.
Content
We collaborated with Liz to develop a cohesive content strategy, starting with a series of in-studio photographs designed to enhance both her website and social media presence. By capturing her creative process and the intricate details of her work, we ensured the content was visually compelling across platforms. Building on this, we produced a series of short-form video reels and a long-form promotional video, tailored to engage her audience and generate excitement for her upcoming exhibition. These assets not only increase her visibility but also create a consistent narrative that reinforces her brand identity.
